Start my schooling chapter - A

तेस्तै २०४९ साल तिरको  हो, एक दिन मेरो कान्छा हजुरबुवाको छोरा माईला काकासङ्ग गोठालो गएका  थियौ । त्यति बेला काका एक कक्षामा पढ्दै हुनुहुन्थ्यो। र त्यो दिन म उहाको रिजल्ट निस्केको रहेछ । त्यो कुरा मैले कसरी  खै थाहा पाएको थिए । अनि हामी गोठालो गर्ने ठाउँमा काकालाई  सोधे :- काका आज तपाईको परिक्षा फल प्रकासित भाको होइन ? काकाले अलिक अड मानिकन भन्नु भयो हुनत हो  तर…….  भन्नु भयो । तर मलाई  काकॉको त्यो अड् लाग्दो बोलीले झन् उत्सुकता जगायो मेरो मनमा,  अनि मैले प्रश्न एकोहोरो सोधे तपाई पास हुनुभयो कि फेल……… ? काकाले भन्नुभयो मत फसे भतिज  भन्नु भयो । फेरी एकोहोरिदै सोधे काका तपाई पास कि  फेल …… ? अंततः  काकाले भन्नु भयो म पास भए  ।

                प्रथम भए  एउटा डट्पेन र कापी पुरसकार पाए भन्नुभयो । म त्यो काकाको कुरा सुनेर मलाई झन मनमा कौतुहलता जाग्यो अब म पनि आमा बुवालाई भनेर  विदध्यालय पढ्न जान्छु । बेलुका घरमा आमा बुवालाई भने काकाको आज रिजल्ट आएकोरहेछ प्रथम श्रेणीमा उतिर्ण हुनुभयो   रे अब म पनि पढ्न स्कुल जान्छु । भनेको मात्र थिए । बुवाले कराउनु भयो  किन जान्छस स्कुल ? घरमा को काम गर्छ? तैले खाएको एक थाल भात मात्र नास हुन्छ, भन्नु भयो । यो कुरा सुनेर मलाई सारै चित्त दुख्यो । रुन मन लाग्यो । अनि तेत्तिबेला  आमाले भन्नु भयो बुवालाई :-  छोरोले पढ्छु भन्दैछ,  जाओस न त काम भनेको त बिस्तारै  गरौला छोरीहरू  पनि छन्  भन्नु भयो। आमाले म प्रति  गर्नुभएको यो  पहिलो गुण हो थियो। 

          त्यस पश्चात बुवाले भन्नु भयो :- तँ पढ्छस नै भने पर्खिन त तेरो कान्छा काका  काठमाण्डौबाट आउछ अनि सल्लाह गरौला भन्नु भयो । मेरो कान्छा काका काठमाण्डौमा बस्नुहुन्थ्यो मेरो हजुरआमा मोतिया बिन्दुले गर्दा त्यति आँखा देख्नु हुन्नथ्यो । त्यसैले हजुरआमाको आँखा उपचारको लागि लिन काका  गाउँ आउने वाला हुनुहुथेछ । तेस्तै २०५० साल मंसिर तिर काका पनि आउनुभयो  हजुरआमालाई लिन भनेर  तर  हजुरआमा काठ्माण्डौ जान   मान्नु भएन  । हजुरआमाले भन्नु भयो  म त कत्ति नै बाच्छु होला र? बरु तिम्रो भतिज टुहुरो, उसको आमा  पनि सानैमा बित्नु भयो उसलाई लगेर आँखा देखाईदेउ धर्म  हुन्छ  तिमीलाई भनेर भन्नु भएछ  । त्यस पछी काकाले हजुरआमाको साटो मलाई कठ्माण्डौ पढाउन भनेर लानु भयो। त्यति बेला म १२ वर्षको मात्र थिए । गाउँको बसाइ भएकोले घाँस गोठालो गर्नेलाई के थाहा गते बार अनि साल  नेपालि भाषा पनि त्यति  बोल्न आउदैनथ्यो मलाई । हामी काकासँग काठ्माण्डौ  पुगे पछि काकाले एउट भित्ते पात्रो किनेर झुण्ड्याई दिनु भयो । र म त्यो क्यालेन्डर  लाई हेर्न सिकाई दिनु भयो । त्यतिबेला मंगसिर महिनामा फाईनल परिक्षा हुन्थेछ । मलाई एडमिसन गर्नको लागि काठमान्डौको धेरै ठाउँ चाहार्नु भयो । मेरो उमेर बढि भएकोले प्राइवेट स्कुलमा त सिट कतै  थिएन । अन्तिम्मा एक ठाउमा  एडमिसन मिल्यो ।

 भीमसेन गोलाको एक सरकारी  प्राथमिक विद्यालयमा  दुख सुख कक्षा एक  उतिर्ण गरे परीक्षाको बेला म  बिमारी  भएर सबै विषयको परिक्षा दिन पाएको थिइन । पहिलो दिन नेपाली विषयको परिक्षा मात्र  दिएको  थिएँ ।  त्यो मेरो  उत्तर पुस्तिका पनि  शिक्षिकाले हराउनु भएको रहेछ।  पछि म निको भएर  मेरो  काकाको साथीले एउटा निवेदन लेखि दिनु भयो र त्यहि निबेदन स्कुलमा पेस गरेर पुनः  नेपाली बिषयको परिक्षा दिएर कक्षा  एकमा प्रथम श्रेणीमा उतिर्ण गरे ।  तेस पश्चात  म  अर्को स्कुलमा काकाले सारि दिनु नयाँ बानेश्वर को रत्न राज्य स्कुलमा त्याहा अलिक पढाई राम्रो होला  भनेर । तर त्याहा एडमिसन गर्नलाई इन्ट्रान्स परीक्षा दिनु पर्ने थिएछ । परिक्षा दिए पास पनि भएछु  रिजल्ट हेर्न अर्को दिन गए तर मेरो नाम त निस्केछ तर थर मिलेको थिएन राई हुनु पर्नेमा तमाङ्ग लेखेको थियो ।

 फेरी अर्को दिन काकाको साथि संग स्कुल गैर अफिसमा सोधेर एडमिसन  गरियो त्याहा पनि झन्डै अन्तिममा   परिएछ । मेरो कक्षामा जम्मा १६० जना मध्ये मेरो रोल नम्बर १४४ थियो त्यो मलाई अझै पनि राम्ररी थाहा छ । मेरो पढाई सारै राम्रो थियो  तर अन्तिममा काकाले काठमाडौं बाट गाउ फर्काउने सोच गर्नु भएछ । काका ले भन्नु भयो  :- तिमी यसपटक  प्रथम भयौ भने यहा पढ्नु  प्रथम भएनौ भने गाउँ गएर पढ्नु छुट्टीको बेला घरमा आमा बुवालाई काम सघाउनु अरुबेला स्कुल जानु भन्नु भयो र हामी २०५२ साल मङ्सिरमा गाउँ आयौं । केहिदिन पछि काका काठ्माण्डौ फर्किनु भयो । मेरो रिजल्ट आएछ तर काकाको अनुमान अनुसार म  प्रथम हुन सकिन ।१६० जना मध्ये म छैटौं स्थानमा आएछु । काकाले काठ्माण्डौबाट मेरो मार्कसिट र चिठ्ठी   पठाई दिनु भयो ।

 र चिठीमा लेखेको थियो । तिमी हजुरआमा र हजुरबुवासङ्ग बस्दै पढ  छुट्टीमा हजुरबुवा र हजुरआमालाई  सघाउनु म तिमीलाई महिनाको ५०० सय रुपैया  खर्च पठाउछु भनेर  भन्नु भाको रहेछ। जस अनुसार म हजुरबुवा र हजुरअमासंगै  बस्दै पढ्दै थिए । मेरो  पढाई पनि निकै राम्रो  थियो । कक्षा २ मा १६० जना मध्ये त छैटौं स्थानमा  पास भएको थिए भने गाउँमा त ३ कक्षामा २३ ज जना मात्र विद्यार्थी  थियौ भने मलाइ सारै सजिलो लाग्थ्यो । गाउमा म सधै प्रथम हुन्थे । सबै भन्दा राम्रो पढाई भएको ले होला सबै जना साथीहरुले माया गर्नु हुन्थ्यो  र शिक्षकहरुले पनि उत्तिकै मान्नु हुथ्यो । म हजुरबुएअहरुकोम कक्षा ६ सम्म पढे ।त्यस पछि हजुर बुवा र हजुरआमा काम गर्न नसक्ने अवस्थामा हुनुभयो । फेरी काका २०५६ सालमा गाउँ आउनु भयो र  हजुरआमा  र हजुरबुवालाई साईला काका  काकीहरूसंग एक ठाउमा राख्नु भयो र मेरो कान्छी बहिनि र मलाई हाम्रा घर पठाई दिनु भयो । त्यस  पश्चात मेरो पठाई र जीवनमा ठुलो हलचल मच्चियो ।

It was around the year 2049, one day we went to the shepherds with uncle , the son of my younger grandfather. At that time, uncle was studying in 1st standard. And that day I got his result. How did I know that? And at the place where we were shepherding, he asked his uncle: - Uncle, didn't your exam result come out today? My uncle hesitated and said maybe yes but……. Said. But uncle's strange speech aroused more curiosity in my heart, and I asked one question, did you pass or fail? Uncle said, I am trapped, nephew. I  asked repeatedly, uncle, did you pass or fail? Finally my uncle said I passed.

      He said that if he was the first, he would get a dot pen and a copy. When I heard that uncle's story, I became more curious, now I am also going to go to school by telling my parents. At home in the evening, I told my parents that my uncle's results are coming today. He has passed the first class. Now I will also go to school to study. Just said. Father shouted why do you go to school? Who works at home? He said that only one plate of rice that he eats will perish. I was very upset to hear this. I wanted to cry. And then the mother said to the father:- The son is saying that he will study, go, neither work, let's do it slowly. This was the first quality my mother gave me.

      He said to give advice. My younger uncle lived in Kathmandu and my grandmother could not see well due to cataracts. That is why my uncle used to come to the village to take my grandmother's eyes for treatment. Around November 2050, my uncle also came to pick up my grandmother, but she did not agree to go to Kathmandu. Grandma said how long will I live? Rather, your nephew is an orphan, his mother also passed away at a young age, and it has been said that if you take him and show him your eyes, you will have religion. After that, my uncle brought me to Kathmandu to teach instead of my grandmother. At that time I was only 12 years old. Since I lived in a village, I did not know how to speak the Nepalese language for the shepherds. After we reached Kathmandu with my uncle, my uncle bought a wall calendar and hung it. And I taught him to look at that calendar. At that time, the final exam was held in the month of November. Many places in Kathmandu wanted to admit me. As I was older, there was no seat in the private school. Finally got admission in one place. 

      In a government primary school in Bhimsen Gola, finally I passed Class one During the exam, I was sick and could not take all the subjects. On the first day, I only gave the exam on Nepali subject. My answer book was also lost by the teacher. After I recovered, my uncle's friend wrote an application and after submitting the same application to the school, I took the Nepali subject exam again and passed first class in class one. After that, my uncle transferred me to another school, saying that it would be better for me to study at Ratna Rajya School in New Baneshwar. But to get admission there, you will have to take the entrance exam. I passed the exam and went to see the result the next day, but my name came out but the last name did not match.

Again, the next day, along with my uncle's friend, I was admitted to the school outside the office. I still know very well that my roll number was 144 out of 160 students in my class. My studies were very good but in the end my uncle decided to return to the village from Kathmandu. Uncle said :- If you are the first this time, study here, if you are not the first, go to the village to study, help your parents at home during vacations, go to school at other times and we came to the village in November 2052. After a few days, uncle returned And wrote in the letter. You are living with your grandmother and grandfather. Help your grandfather and grandmother during vacation. According to which I was studying while living with my grandfather and grandmother. My studies were also very good. In class 2, out of 160 students, he passed in sixth place, but in the village, there were only 23 students in class 3, so I thought it was very easy. I was always first in school. All the friends loved him because he had the best education and the teachers also respected him. I studied with my grandparents till class 6. After that, my grandfather and grandmother were unable to work. Again, my uncle came to the village in 2056 and placed my grandmother and grandfather in a place with Saila uncle and aunts and sent my younger sister and me to our home. After that, there was a big upheaval in my sending and life.to Kathmandu. My result has come but according to my uncle's estimate, I could not be the first. Out of 160 people, I have come sixth. My uncle sent my mark sheet and letter from Kathmandu.
